The Hare and the Tortoise Meet
One day, a fast and proud hare met a slow but steady tortoise. The hare laughed at the tortoise for being so slow.
एक दिन, एक तेज़ और गर्वित खरगोश की मुलाक़ात एक धीमे लेकिन स्थिर कछुए से हुई। खरगोश ने कछुए की धीमी गति पर हँसी उड़ाई।

The Challenge
The tortoise grew tired of the hare’s teasing and said, “Let’s have a race! I’ll show you that slow and steady can win.”
The hare laughed, thinking it was a joke, but he agreed to the race.
कछुआ खरगोश की चिढ़ाने की हरकतों से तंग आ गया और बोला, “चलो दौड़ लगाते हैं! मैं तुम्हें दिखाऊंगा कि धीरे-धीरे और स्थिरता से ही जीत हासिल की जा सकती है।”
खरगोश हँसा, उसे लगा कि यह मज़ाक है, लेकिन वह दौड़ के लिए तैयार हो गया।

The Race Begins
The hare and the tortoise stood at the starting line. The hare was confident and playful, while the tortoise was calm and determined.
The race began, and the hare dashed off quickly, leaving the tortoise far behind.
खरगोश और कछुआ दौड़ की शुरूआती रेखा पर खड़े थे। खरगोश आत्मविश्वास से भरा हुआ था और चंचल था, जबकि कछुआ शांत और दृढ़ निश्चयी था।
दौड़ शुरू हुई और खरगोश तेज़ी से भाग गया, कछुए को बहुत पीछे छोड़ दिया।

The Hare Takes a Nap
After running far ahead, the hare felt tired. He thought, “The tortoise is so slow—I have plenty of time!” So, he lay down under a tree to take a nap.
Meanwhile, the tortoise kept walking slowly but steadily.
बहुत आगे तक दौड़ने के बाद खरगोश थक गया। उसने सोचा, “कछुआ बहुत धीमा है – मेरे पास बहुत समय है!” इसलिए, वह झपकी लेने के लिए एक पेड़ के नीचे लेट गया।
इस बीच, कछुआ धीरे-धीरे लेकिन स्थिरता से चलता रहा।

The Hare Realizes His Mistake
When the hare woke up, he saw the tortoise close to the finish line! Shocked and worried, the hare ran as fast as he could, but it was too late.
The tortoise was almost there!
जब खरगोश उठा, तो उसने देखा कि कछुआ फिनिश लाइन के करीब है! हैरान और चिंतित खरगोश जितनी तेज़ी से भाग सकता था, भागा, लेकिन तब तक बहुत देर हो चुकी थी।

The Tortoise Wins!
The tortoise crossed the finish line first, winning the race! The hare arrived too late and felt ashamed. The tortoise smiled proudly and said, “Slow and steady wins the race!”
कछुआ सबसे पहले फिनिश लाइन पार कर गया और रेस जीत गया! खरगोश बहुत देर से पहुंचा और उसे शर्मिंदगी महसूस हुई। कछुआ गर्व से मुस्कुराया और कहा, “धीरे-धीरे और स्थिरता से रेस जीती जाती है!”
